CW5 Kristoffer B. Everson is assigned as the Senior Technical Advisor to the Commander of DoD Cyber Defense Command. In this role, he advises the Commander on all matters relating to cyberspace operations in the security, operation, and defense of the DoWIN.
CW5 Everson enlisted in the Army Reserves as an Information Systems Operator Analyst in 1998 serving with the 390th Personnel Group, Richmond, VA. He then was assigned as a Recruiter in the Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion, Northfield Recruiting Station located in Atlantic City, NJ.
After completing Warrant Officer Candidate School and Information System Technician Basic Course in 2006, CW5 Everson was assigned as the Detachment Commander for the 629th Transportation Company; Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. His follow-on assignments include Sustainment Automation Support Management Officer-In-Charge for the 412th Aviation Support Battalion, Ansbach, Germany; Logistics Automation Division Chief for III Corps Headquarters, Fort Hood, TX; Senior Area Support Technician for 93rd Signal Brigade, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA; Senior Host Analyst for 401 Cyber Protection Team, Cyber Protection Brigade (CPB), Fort Gordon, GA; Cyber Operations Planner for 05 National Cyber Protection Team, CPB, Fort Gordon, GA; Senior Warrant Officer for 1st Cyber Battalion, CPB, Fort Gordon, GA; Senior Defensive Cyber Operation Technician, Joint Forces Headquarters DODIN, Fort Meade, MD; Command Chief Warrant Officer for the Cyber Protection Brigade, Fort Gordon, GA; Warrant Officer Division Chief at the Office Chief of Cyber, Fort Gordon, GA.
CW5 Everson’s civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Business Information Systems, a Master of Science Degree with a concentration in Information Management/Project Management, and a Master of Science Degree with concentration in Cyber Security. He also holds several industry certifications to include Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP); GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Program Management Professional (PgMP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
CW5 Everson’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Meritorious Unit Commendation with oak leaf cluster, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 2, and the Recruiter Badge with one gold star.
